Updating R for galaxy RStudio

All,

I am trying to update R from 3.4 to 3.5.1. It is 3.5.1 for SSH, but not for the galaxy RStudio partition. I can download the tar to /mnt/galaxy/home/researcher/R/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-library, but I cannot get it to work from there.

I appreciate any help.

Have you tried ‘sudo apt upgrade r-base’?

Thanks for the response.

Yes. I have tried quite a few ways to update; brew, apt-get, manual install (config > make), etc.

The GVL itself see R3.5;however, RStudio with the Galaxy partition sees R3.4. I cannot locate its source or config file where this is specified. Calling R from anywhere, except from RStudio, initiates R3.5.

I appreciate it though.
