CondaHTTPError: HTTP 000 CONNECTION FAILED

Following the maintenance at Cardiff and the change of IP addresses for VMs (Ubuntu) two of our groups VMs are failing to connect to conda and instead return the message below:

CondaHTTPError: HTTP 000 CONNECTION FAILED for url https://conda.anaconda.org/ursky/linux-64/current_repodata.json
Elapsed: -

An HTTP error occurred when trying to retrieve this URL.
HTTP errors are often intermittent, and a simple retry will get you on your way.
‘https//conda.anaconda.org/ursky/linux-64’

VMs affected include burkholderia.assembler and LauraR

Any insights would be appreciated!

There have been a few growing pains as we move from one OpenStack to another.

One of them was the default DNS settings. They have been updated such that they work now, so either a restart of systemd-resolved (using sudo systemctl restart systemd-resolved) or a reboot should resolve those issues. (Heh - sorry about the pun)

Thanks

~~ Charles
