Instance not responding since trying to mount new volume

Hi,

I tried to add some new volumes to my instance and it has now hung.

I added two volumes /dev/vdi and vdj) and mounted them on 147.188.173.168 without any problems.

Then I created /dev/vdk and vdl. While mounting vdk, “sudo fdisk /dev/vdk” worked but then “sudo mkfs.ext4 /dev/vdk” hung and since then the instance has hung.

Would someone please be able to look at this and let me know what I should do to get this working again?

Hi Camilla - the first course of action is to reboot the instance using https://bryn.climb.ac.uk. This can solve a multitude of problems, and if the instance is hanging, its likely the best way to restore it to a clean state.

Remember that when you reboot your instance, you will have to remount the volumes.
