PuTTY fatal error!

  1. Describe the problem. Are there any error messages you can paste? Can you provide a screenshot of the problem (with sensitive information removed)?
    When I try to connect using PuTTY I get the error message:

PuTTY fatal error
No supported authentication methods available (server sent: publickey)

  1. What is the name of the VM or volume that the problem is affecting?

  3. Is there any other information that you think might be helpful?*
    I had an old VM which was terminated and I’m setting up a new VM. I generated a new ssh keypair.

You must make sure you load the new keypair onto Bryn before you start the new VM. Otherwise you will not be able to log in to the server.

If you can’t find your old key, you won’t be able to access the host.
